A Guide/Companion on the nature based model of Wholeness
This much we know, the time of the lone wolf is over. Gurus can be helpful but these are not the times we are living.
This way of working involves functional Integration asks each of us to take on the inner work of maturing our ego self to move from ego centric to eco-centric way of seeing/knowing and doing. We do it for ourselves, for our families and communities, but more so we do if for all life and the generations yet to come.
To live our potential we are required to integrate the potentials humans have. Here we speak of;
Access to Spirit, non dual awareness, pure presence, nowness, God, the pattern that connects, call it what you want, each of us needs this deep in your bones sense of belonging to life and the access to the peace of resting in a state of union.
Another aspect of functioning is our everyday self. What use is it if you can meditate all day if you cannot get on with your fellow humans? It means learning to feel and use emotions skilfully, intuition, faculities for deep imagination. Can use the sense, attune to situations, animals nature, resolve conflicts, knows about the way of council, has empathy. Able to alone and able to work together.
The final dimension we need access to is the underworld. As humans most of us live in a very small wedge of expereince. We do not know what we do not know, and there is a tendacy to assume that this is all there is. The underwold capcity gives us acess to the dream work, shadow work, archetypal potencies. It is the one and only place that hold the possibility of each one of us discovering and flowering our unique nature based gift into the world. This work is the recipe for True Adults, Eldership and a life worth living.
And lets aim to create some beauty, mischief and the deep trust that we can do this together.

TESTIMONIAL
"ReWilding, apprentice to the Soul was not just a container for exploration, it was a remembering.A remembering of what it means to be human, to be held, to be undone. It was a space held by skilled faciliatators, where one was invited to play with the ideas of psyche, human development, archetypes, poetry, story, dance, lodge, and Soul. Jaime wove together a space and place for deep exploration.
It was, at times, confronting, as all the best and necessary journeys are.
So much aroha for the Vision of Jamie and his team toward more whole humans, community, and world.

More infomration about the Nature based method to Wholeness
This is a process to leave our little-ness behind. We are living in powerful times, perhaps you agree that we need more mature well functioning adults, nature based children and creative imaginative communities. This one on one guiding is a way for you to know more of yourself. Perhaps you intuit the potency and creativity that lives in the relationship between light and dark, our strengths and our wounded places.
Entelechy is term used by Jean Houston to point to the hidden wholeness that we have access to. It is the blueprint of our full potential, our doorway to our unique gift and place in the world. Yet a great many of us growing up in these modern times of progress have lost access to the maps and pathways to grow into this potential, we live in times where genuine elders are rare.
Living in this modern progress orientated world, we can emerge from childhood with unconscious aspects of a necessary survival personality that bring us trouble. They helped us survive the errors of childhood but now as grow toward adulthood they block and stifle the deeper flows of human potential and creativity.
Our modern world is more than a little tilted toward cognitive and intellectual penitential. This comes at the expense of the capacities for deep imagination, instinct, feeling and sensing. We imagine a world where the gifts of each life stage are embraced, where the connection to nature and the cosmos are intact and a source of resource and refuge. We are helping humans be the self empowered authors a new story that is integrative, nature based, inclusive of light and shadow, future ones and ancestors.
The The main point of difference in working this way is that we are not trying to fix anything, dysfunction is not the central focus, instead we use Bill Plotkins model to ask;
What qualities or capacities that are missing from this person's embodiment of wholeness?
What can we done to cultivate these qualities of capacities?
And perhaps what gifts and unique ways of being in this world are speaking through the difficulties?
Where some forms of counselling would attempt to lift the person out of the difficulty and get them back to normal, this method encourages you to trust the process that is happening, move closer, move into relationship with the discomfort. The wholeness approach view symptoms as qualities the psyche is attempting to activate. As opposed to a dysfunction that needs to be removed.
Another part of the this way of working is to lean into the potency and deep wisdom inherent in mythological stories. It is possible we are living in times that could be described as “living on the surface.” We have be shaped to expect solutions quickly. Myths swap surface for depth. When used well they reveal the patterns and process of the growing and unfolding psyche. They are a reliable source of wisdom now and have been for hundreds of years and this is why in earth based communities they continue as guides and maps for coming into right relationship.
Jaime will help you become aware of the development tasks related to each life stage. Jaime works with ceremony and ritual to support individual to mark life stages and harness the potency of deep imagery, symbols and dreams. Our nature carries the blueprint of our wholeness. missed. It is never too late to learn and the human body/mind is deep vast storehouse of potentials.
A few other glimpses of your guide
Who is walking with you?
Jaime was born in the 1973, raised in a bewildered family. Not an unusual story in this age of inustrial growth, consumerism and conforming. Grateful for things he did recieve and deeply wounded by the things that were suppoed to happen but did not. Jaime was a lost as a teenager. Confused about his body, the forces of nature rising in him. His father was equally confused abotbhis emotions, his capcities to show love and manage his anger, perhaps he was carrying the unknown to him wounds of his father, a man marked by war. Arguments, disturst, seasoned with best attmepts of love, a roof over the head, a touch spoilt (perhaps the compensation for the emotional attunement that was out of reach)
It is a testiment to the resilency and mysterious resources that live within every human that Jaime found a way through. Somehow he found himself climbing, walking, finding refuge in the wilderness, it was in the mountains of an old land, a wholesome seed was watered.
He graduated witha degree in Social Work and headed for Aotearoa where he trained under the brilliant Dr Gillian Tasker to teach holistic Health and Outddor education in schools. It proved to a baptism of fire and it was not long under the wings of Celia Lashle and other intiatives to educate boys that he found himself at the New Zealand Rites of passage Foundation. Jaime has volunteered for 20 years in this organistion because something in him knew that rites of passage are necessary, not just for adolence but for all ages and stages. And lets remeber this, rites of passage mark life stages, they do not necassrily create the passage themselves, we have to do the inner work.
Alongside this journey Jaime did more than a few years of Vipassana meditation before meeting Tarchin Hearn. This wise, deeply ecolgical, mystic and fully human teacher was hanging out in the woods of the Wangapeka Retreat Centre. Jaime left teaching and signed up to a three school of living Dharma. Following this he was invited by Tarchin to take up a position at the monastery called the Resident Practiioner for a further three years. Jaime spent over a full year attending guided retreats, he spent a total of 7 months in solitary retreat, "alone with all" as he called it. He cannot say it was easy, nor was he enlightened, in truth a great many hardships were endured, grist for the mill they say or perhaps it was about getting really honest and seeing that he was wounded and some how something in him new there was a path to wholeness.
In and amongst this Jaime completed a Masters Degree in Education about transformative leanring practices. He trained for another six years to understand and teach Open Floor movement practice. This was one of the things that had been missing. He had to find a way into his body. The man was top heavy, too much thinking and cognition, too much defensiveness and taking himself self seriously. not enough alive embodiment. Not enough feeling body, not enough joy. Jaime did this and began putting all this together and has led retreats and learning programmes competently for 15 years. He was an assistant teacher for Geordie Jahner for another four years on some deep dives into the creative arts of making meaning and empowerment through ritual, movement, music and art. Each of these programme were more than an year long. They invlved one on one coaching and deep psychological journeys.
Around 2018 Jaime became aware of Bll Ploktkin. His tomb like book sat lonely and fierce on the shelf for years till finally something in prompted him to take a look. When the student is ready the taecher appears. Careful not to make anyone a guru (been there and got the tee shirt) Jaime began studying with Animas Valley. He attened many online trainings and began the producer for Animas valley events in New Zealand. In 2024 he organised the elder himself, Bill Plotkin to come to Aotearoa and host two intensives. Jaime particpated in each of them and continues to host Animas Valley retreats.
Lets be honest. Jaime has been through the fire. he still makes mistakes and continues to learn. Meditation was not enough, he had to attened to the development tasks of each life stage. He had to find his wildness. The connecteion to nature. His authenticty and ruthless power to commit all of his being to learning and wrestling this nature based map to wholeness. eqaully he had to learn to communicate, build, garden, listen deeply, learn to reframe, reflect back, empathise and all the rest of the skills needed to fucntion well in community.
His vision has much to do with remembering how to live with nature as the guide. To trust that in each of us nature knows how to grow mature humans. Sometimes we need pause and really stop, other time we need to touch the earth, it can happen gracefully or definantly, either way it has to be convincing. He is excited to work one on one with young people and adults who are asking deep questions about how to live well and how to contribute meanignfully to the Great Turning. At the heart of his own journey and the heart of what he offers is a path to mature the ego. To move gently from unaware survival strategies and personalities, toward self knwoledge, to mature oneself in to right relations with all life and be in service to life.
Of course the work of growth and unfolding is never ending. This said there comes a time when there is enough training, experience and feeling for the inner work that one feels useful.
